Anode is a metal such as zinc (tin), aluminium or magnesium which is used to protect iron against corrosion. The anode’s working principles are: metals such as zinc, aluminium, and magnesium are more reactive to rust elements and have lower oxidation points than iron so that when they are attached to other metals such as iron they react to rust to neutralize rust before attacking iron.
Wilson Walton was founded in 1959 and is one of the pioneers in the use of anodes to protect the structure of iron and its products have been widely used to protect the body of ships around the world.
